This Uber PM left his 9-5 to run the hottest AI agents startup (>$50M raised). In today’s episode, I sit down with @Altimor, CEO of one of the hottest AI agent startups around, @getlindy. If you want to learn how to build AI agents that work for you, or how to start an AI company, this is for you. 🎬 Watch now: 🎧 Or listen: Spotify: Apple: Substack: (You’re don't want to miss his demo of 5 AI agents) Thanks to our sponsors: 1. Mobbin: Discover real-world design inspiration - 2. Jira Product Discovery: Build the right thing - 3. Miqdad Jaffer's AI Product Strategy Certificate for Leaders My favorite takeaways fall into two buckets: 1. Takeaways about AI agents: a. Everyone Just Got Promoted to Manager. You're no longer a doer—you're an orchestrator. Design systems that click buttons for you. Think AWS for labor. b. Never Do the Same Thing Twice. Repeating tasks = build an agent. Anything manual, repetitive, or trainable should be automated. Humans create, machines execute. c. Start With Personal Pain Points. Build for yourself first. Meeting recording, email triage, CRM updates. Master orchestration on low-stakes tasks first. d. Human-in-the-Loop Is Non-Negotiable. Smart guardrails prevent disasters. Toggle "ask for confirmation" on actions affecting reputation or revenue. 2. Takeaways for PMs a. You don't need to be a "Founder" to act like one. Flo treated his work at Uber like his own company. That ownership mentality made him better than most founders. b. Write Like Your Career Depends on It. Clarity of thought = clarity of writing. The best PMs are excellent writers because it reflects structured thinking. c. Avoid Resume-Driven Decisions. Instead of chasing brand names, ask: "Will this force me to grow?" Going from Uber to Lindy wasn't linear—it was a leap into discomfort. d. You Can't Delegate Taste. He reviews designs, edits copy, obsesses over UX. Product taste is not outsource-able. Have you tried Lindy yet?
