When you have children, they will regress to the extended family of the parent, not to the parent. This is why marrying the dumbest person from a smart family is better than marrying the smartest from a dumb one. Mr. Huber here is correct. All of the traits and attributes of the family are what your child will inherit, rather than the traits of the individual you actually married. Better to marry the worst person from a good family than the best from a bad one, in general (not always).

I cannot stress this point enough: domestic work isn't unpaid. I'll explain: 1. If you work a job, you create value. That value isn't convenient to trade which is why you're given currency. If you repair a roof, you can't easily trade that for food. Again, that's what currency is for. It lets you break down and trade small portions of your created value for things that you'll consume. So, a man works all day for money that he spends on food, the food is the actual compensation. That is his pay. The currency is just the mechanism through which he converts his product (a repaired roof for someone) into something useful for him (food). 2. BUT... if you are the direct consumer of your labor then you just skip the currency conversion stage. When a housewife makes dinner, she also eats the dinner and so her compensation IS the dinner. She just didn't have to go through the extra step like the man does in the first example. Domestic labor isn't unpaid. It's just that the laborers are the direct consumers of their labor and so they can skip the currency step. When she cleans, she directly benefits from it. She doesn't have to pay a cleaning service. When she cooks, she doesn't pay a restaurant. And so on... As for her final point... The difference between cooking for a family (relatively low stress) and restaurant patrons (high stress) is massive. Men are more likely to do the latter NOT because they're better at it but because they handle the stress associated with it better. In order for one's labor to produce excess value (profit), it has to be optimized and that's stressful. Men are mostly more willing to do that than women are.
