The setting sun casts a slanting light over the city, dyeing the clouds in a soft golden-orange hue. The glass curtain walls of the buildings reflect the afterglow, resembling glowing amber pieces. The traffic on the streets becomes denser, shadows stretch long, and the aroma of freshly baked bread wafts through the air. A cat jumps down from the wall and disappears at the end of the alley. On such an evening, it’s so quiet that one forgets the world is quietly changing.
Recently, a new project @theblessnetwork has been quite popular, with a clever idea: to combine idle computers, graphics cards, and bandwidth from everyone’s homes into a "shared supercomputer." You can join by installing a Chrome extension, and when the device is idle, it automatically runs tasks, allowing you to earn some tokens while you relax. The calculations run entirely in a WASM sandbox, ensuring data security, and tasks can be intelligently scheduled, switching within 800 milliseconds if there’s an issue, making it stable and worry-free. The key is that it’s really cheap—costing only one-tenth of traditional cloud services, saving money for developers and earning money for users. The token distribution is also straightforward: 90% goes to those contributing computing power, and 10% is used for buyback and destruction, leaving almost no excess. You can still "get in on the action" now, but there are only 5 days left; many people are rushing to catch the last train, and trying it out might just bring some small surprises.
