ANXIETY HACK You are built to kind of be naturally afraid of the dark. The amygdala in your brain manages the expression and regulation of fear. Light, compared with dark, decreased activation in the amygdala. Light decreases your anxiety and fear. When that light goes away or dims, your amygdala is more activated and fear/anxiety is more natural. If you live indoors all day long under dim lighting, that anxiety button is going to be triggered all day long. Schedule regular outside breaks without sunglasses and your anxiety will decrease.
