I saw a video on Instagram yesterday that sent me into a crazy philosophical spiral, stay with me… It was 2 men with a trivia challenge having to name every nation’s flag that had a weapon on it It took them like 3-4 minutes of active brain power to name 9 of the 10 flags For some reason it just made me think about AI and how fucking retarded all humans are when compared If it was a few years ago, watching them single handedly reel off 9 flags with weapons would have been really impressive, in 2025, I’m like lol as if you didn’t get all 10 in 1 second idiot But the easier integration with AI becomes and the broader the output bandwidth with wearables, we don’t actually all get smarter, we get even dumber because our reliance on AI goes parabolic, we no longer need to absorb information Maybe I’m just anxiety tweeting on a hangover rn, but really surprised me how little impressed I was with their flag recall ability, since eventually all impressive memory recall or problem solving ability becomes obsolete Happy Tuesday
