If someone says they’ll pay you thousands of dollars to teach how to set up a trading platform that is a red flag. If someone makes you screen share on a call while you are moving passwords that control thousands of dollars that is a RED FLAG. This is not sophisticated. It’s basic scam tactics and pure human greed and carelessness leading to scams. Self custody is serious and if you’re not willing to learn how to keep your money safe, you will not be able to avoid scams.

I was drained for 350 SOL ($60,000) last week by the guy who seems to be draining everyone. In 4 years of crypto, I’ve never been drained. This guy was a social engineering pro. He gets you to show him how to set up an Axiom while screen sharing on discord, and pays you 20-50 solana upfront to do so. His social engineering skills were top notch, acting confused, acting like HE was scared of YOU hacking him, asking you to take extra precautions so he doesn’t see any of your information. While you’re screen sharing, he somehow captures the password of your axiom wallet (not sure how, because I copied the password off stream and then pasted it) Then once you connect your trading wallet, he instantly drains it. With what I’ve seen on X alone, I’d imagine he’s made $10M+ doing this.
