NEW: New Jersey town will punish parents with fines and jail time for their children's crimes, according to a new ordinance. Gloucester Township will smack parents with up to a $2000 fine and/or 90 days of jail time. The decision was made after "unruly juveniles" were dropped off by rideshares during an annual community day. Approximately 500 teens started causing disruptions, spitting at, and assaulting officers. "I've never experienced anything like it in 30 years as a police officer the disrespect, the violent behavior that ruined a family event," said Gloucester Township Police Chief David Harkins.
