What’s wrong with this story is that kids who grow up poor and grind their way to the top are never spiteful, vengeful, or focused on bringing others down. And that’s what I mostly see in the Monero community: envy, vitriol, the permanent need to downplay the success of others. This is also part of the reason why Zcash is pumping harder these days: it’s focused on building. Take a look at the evolution of Zashi: the shielded mobile wallet that was thought to be impossible only 4-5 years ago. Then look at the stuff on the roadmap. While Monero is finally catching up with FCMP, Zcash is exploring new frontiers. Without having to constantly attack their competitors and while constantly being copied by other chains that use the ZK tech.
