I was supposed to make a tweet as to why I decided to go through the gruesome task of acquiring a full set of 6529's The Memes the day after completing it, but oh well here we are almost a full week later. I'll try to keep it simple and not make a whole thread here. It is my belief that the cultural movement being created by the ever growing community in the 6529 network is one that is going under the radar for most participants in the space. I would go as far (and hang with me here) to say that BTC is to Punks as ETH is to The Memes. There is simply no better fully functioning decentralized network with a core crypto/web3 ethos within the Digital Art space, period. Let alone the genius idea of TDH which works in some sense as the "money" or "currency" of the network and is only gained as a function of weighted conviction in time. It is a global censorship-resistant mechanism that aligns the participants of the network. Its infrastructure allows it to easily extend into other areas that extend beyond this fun art centric experiment, its designed to grow into something much more than what it currently is. I can't put my finger on what it will grow into, you can't put your finger on what it will grow into, and that's what's fun about this experiment. I believe these are just the early days of what the network of The Memes will grow into, an artistic, financial and cultural movement that will continue onboarding artists, collectors, and only God knows who else through a global decentralized alignment layer. Now, a huge thanks to the individuals that helped make this journey happen for me. To @SamuraiSpirit88 & @OGDfarmer who shared the vision since day one that made me grab my first few memes almost two years ago and motivated me to pursue this crazy idea of locking in for weeks on end to try and grab 392 (yes, wtf) separate NFTs. To @sqda who rekindled that passion when I was burnt out after stopping at ~300 cards. And finally, to all the artists and collectors that went *way* out of their way to help me out wrap the final few of these cards which was no easy task, collectors like @DGMD22 , @blocknoob_ & @MrOlives_ , and artists like @SariraMerikhi , @mab_369 , @mendezmendezart , @SmirapDesigns , @joiceloo_art and probably a few others I can't remember at the moment. I appreciate you all :).

There's something interesting about the fact that most of the people I know that held ETH the entirety of this cycle, did so because they owned a NFT they loved. Almost everyone else that had it as a liquid investment sold it at way lower prices. Lesson somewhere in there.

And after a rough 12 hours, I have become the 53rd full set holder of @punk6529 's The Memes, a task that took a lot of effort, patience, and extensive DMs between holders and artists all of which I enjoyed every step of the way. It is getting late here so I'll take some time to celebrate this milestone tomorrow as well as explaining why I made the decision to go through this journey and the individuals that helped make it happen. For now, we rest. I have seized the memes of production, job's done.
