people think having a relatively popular x account is all about inbound (e.g. so many ppl reaching out to you), you get plenty of that but the real unlock is outbound with a ~100% response rate. you can reach out to a founder you want to back, a brilliant designer/engineer you want to hire, or an openai researcher you want to learn from, & they’ll actually fucking reply. thats absurd. how can you not have anything but gratitude for being able to connect with humans who are operating at the cutting edge.
