Unpopular opinion: You don’t “find your style”, as if it’s out there waiting for you. You exhaust all the ways you don’t want to see the world, until only one remains. In my experience, you don’t *find* anything, you shed everything that isn’t you. You try out trends, others’ techniques. Most don’t fit perfectly. What’s left, after years of rejecting what doesn’t feel true, is a language that’s uniquely yours. And the funny thing is: you don’t even notice you’ve “found it” until other people start telling you they recognise you even before seeing your name.
